I discovered Caroline and Animal Care Munster when I was looking at treatment options for my West Highland terrier Harry. Unfortunately, he has been diagnosed with lung fibrosis, more commonly known as Westie lung disease and at this stage has had problems for over two years.
Louis Eden - Harry's Owner,
The disease is sadly incurable and the treatment he gets from the vet is designed to alleviate the symptoms and help with his heart and breathing.
After some investigation, I found that a lot of people who's Westies suffer from this disease are using K-laser therapy for their dogs and that the beneficial effects can be very noticeable.
I contacted Caroline who has the only veterinary Class IV K Laser in Southern Ireland and she came up with a laser treatment plan especially for Harry which involved quite intensive treatment for a couple of weeks, tapering off to visits once a week or so.
The effects are a joy to see! The laser therapy has given Harry a new lease of life. He has more energy these days, we were told by our vet 2 years ago to reduce Harry's walking to 8 minutes a day as not to stress him because of his breathing we now thanks to Caroline and the laser therapy we go for 1 hour walks to the beach, his breathing is more relaxed and less distressed than before. Harry's persistent cough has all but disappeared. The laser treatment itself is not causing him any worry or anxiety either and seems quite relaxing for him too.
I am very pleased with the results from the laser treatment and would recommend it to anyone who's pet or animals might benefit. I would also add that the laser is just part of the service you get; Caroline is so good with Harry and clearly cares about animals a lot. He is always excited to see her and that says it all as far as I am concerned.
Thanks so much!
I sought advice from Caroline at a very important time for me and my mare and I can't recommend her enough. My youngster has now gone on for training and I was struggling to find information and trusted veterinary advice locally...(i should mention I had suffered an injury so it was quite a critical time for us) Caroline's advice and care for our situation have been outstanding from the first contact. She instilled confidence in me at a very tough time and has continued support for me and my filly throughout... even though we are across the water! I fully recommend Caroline not only for her vast knowledge and professional care but for her empathic yet confident manner. Please don't hesitate to contact me for any more information on my review.

Caroline recently treated my hunter. I felt we were at the end of the season and he needed a good overall check. He seemed tight in his neck and right shoulder and a little short in his gate additionally I felt he truly deserved a treat for his loyal services. After 2 visits his range of movement was significantly improved, his neck visibly freer along with greater energy in the paddock. I was most impressed by her knowledge and her overall commitment to the animal. With Caroline it is not one approach fits all. She carefully assessed my horse, body and mind, and with methodical curiosity. She immediately picked up on the physiological issues at play and was able to devise a therapeutic approach that worked for my horse's temperament. She knew how to "read" him from the start, and in a way, this probably impressed me most of all as I know he has had a difficult start. Her kindness and genuine interest in the well-being of the animals she works with is obvious to see. She works efficiently and is also tenacious in her search for root causes. Caroline is great to explain what she does, what she observes, as and when she works and if you are any bit interested in equine anatomy you'll be rewarded. She has worked on another horse for me since then with equal results. I would highly recommend her and Animal Care Munster.

After 3 months and meeting a few dead ends with getting to the cause of my horse's lameness a friend suggested I should contact Caroline. From the beginning, Caroline was helpful and really interested in getting to the root of the problem. She gave Bob a thorough examination and spent a long time going over every aspect of his history. When she couldn't pinpoint exactly the cause she recommended I bring Bob to see veterinary surgeon Dan Hutch in Kanturk. Not only did she arrange this within 24 hours she also accompanied me to the appointment as she was anxious to see us through to a diagnosis. After spending another couple of hours with us there and finally getting to the root of the problem we left happy and relieved with a course of treatment to follow. When we were all loaded up and ready to head home jeep wouldn't start due to a dead battery. Not only did Dan provide A&E for my horse he provided AA for my jeep and got me on the road in no time. I couldn't recommend Caroline or Dan highly enough. I am only sorry I didn't meet Caroline 3 months ago. Big thank you from Bríd & Bob hopefully we will have many many more trips to the beach and interesting escapes to look forward to.
